Driving gloves are dangerously close to costume. These survive because the brown leather is restrained, the construction is traditional and they should improve once the first signs of use replace the polish.
Opinari says its gloves are handcrafted in Italy using traditional methods. The Classico Cuoio is currently listed at €425.

Ralph Lauren Purple Label — Harold Suede Tassel Driver
A driving shoe should disappear once it is on. The navy suede Harold is soft enough for the car and composed enough for the rest of the day. The tassel gives it one slightly excessive note; everything else remains quiet.
Purple Label describes it as calf suede with boat-shoe-inspired lacing and a rubber outsole patterned after racing tyres. It is currently listed at $695.
